Copenhagen Marathon

Hmmm. Where to begin?
Copenhagen was a failure! I didn’t finish. I got to 30km, where my back gave out. I could not run, or even stand at that point so I quit.

And it sucks!

And I’m proud. I’m proud I listened to my body instead of pushing me over the limit and getting injured. Proud that I did it for me, not to prove anything. I’m a marathoner and I’ll probably do it again. But now? I need some time off. Run for fun. Not push so hard, running had not been fun in a while so that will be my focus. And maybe, Medoc will come along or maybe NYC marathon?

We are here.. And getting ready to run.
Crazy nervous!

Wish me luck!

Copenhagen

On my way to the danish capital to run # 2.

The weather forecast for the marathon.
It is going to be a little rainy but pretty warm so that is pretty much perfect. I think I’ll be wearing tight-fitting clothes and ban all cotton.

RUN

I’m off to do that 5k race now. Not too excited as I have been having the worst cold/flu the last 10 days and its cold, rainy and windy outside. But I will do it!
I was hoping for a PR but I will take a slower race. 5 days to marathon day so just being able to run today would give me a boost after coughing away for the past week.

See you on the other side!

On the bucket list: NYC Marathon.

I was thinking of not running any more marathons, and maybe take it a bit easier and run maybe only half-marathons and shorter. I get really sick when I run, even train, for long races and it just feels counter productively.
I also want to run Medoc Marathon so maybe I just need to find a way to train safely without getting sick. Does anyone know how? I can’t get anything down when I train and get dehydrated and that makes me sick to my stomach. So anyone know how to get fluids while running?

A part of the 42 km that will soon be conquered!
