Just back from a VERY rainy day in Florence. Don’t know what happend with the spring? We went from days around 25C to below 15 and pouring rain. Do not approve of this at all. Maybe it is because we have friends from Sweden visiting, maybe they brought the cooler weather? Anyhow, we hit the leather market and between the four of us, we found some really good stuff.
Tonight we are going out for a pasta dinner with some others. So much fun :)
I bought a jacket just like the green one on the right when I was in France. Ever since I say this picture over at Jack and Jil have I been on the look out for kakhi, green or tan safari jacket. I was so happy when a found it! And I found it at a grocery store of all places, Monoprix- the best grocery store I ever been to. They actually have a great selection of clothes. In France Monoprix is a place for comfort shopping, much like Target is for Americans but I think Monoprix have better quality and more timeless stuff.

Also this dress has a great back, but I’m not sure about the fit over the chest, I tried it while in Rome and wasn’t sure, but I can’t really let it go..

Today I enjoyed a well deserved day of rest after 9 concecutive days of hard work including some fun kickboxing with these ladies!
Tomorrow morning a 20km run is planned.. Exciting!?
Went to decathlon today to look for some neccesary marathon stuff, pics to come.
I also did my first foam roll today. Will let you if it revelotioned my run tomorrow! Have you tried it?
Vintage saturday!
After breakfast I went to a vintage market to look around a little. And I’m so excited because there is so much amazing stuff there! The first thing I tried on was a vintage and well worn Barbour jacket. And it fitted perfectly and came with a warm fuzzy lining and so I got it. Also it was really really cheap! Pictures are to be posted soon.
The second thing I got was a ooooold ironer made out of cast iron. I got it to use as a paper weight or to simply use as decoration. I will have to bring it with me on the airplane home (2 kg) but it will be worth it.

I got a new bag!!
Or acctually it is not as new anymore, I got it a couple of weeks ago in Florence ago I haven’t been able to find any good pictures of it until now.
It is actually a really nifty bag, since I could either use it as a briefcase because my laptop fits or as a camera bag as my camera “fits” there (with some willpower). Also there is two separate compartments so I can have my camera in one and everything else in the other, and not having to worry that my camera will end up covered in lip glosss!
On the front there is some straps where I attach the magazine or news paper I’m currently reading. If I were a gentleman I would carry my umbrella there I think. But I’m not.. So I carry my italian ELLE instead.
I had a cobbler make some extra holes so that I will be able to fit my september issues as well.

The door handle from one of my favorite shops in Bologna.
I’m just playing around with my camera most of the time taking stupid picture but what’s really nice is, whenever I carry my camera with me, I usually start seeing so many beautiful things that I wouldn’t normally pay attention to. Being out photographing makes me much more aware of my surroundings, and it also makes me able to appreciate to beauty in everyday object and scenery so much more..
